Lovely day, we are anchored in Chacala along the Pacific coast, north of Sayulita and Banderas Bay. It is Labor Day weekend here and all the families are at the beach. There are no other cruising boats here yet, though.

The Trip
We left Punta Mita as soon as it was light and we were in full sun as we traveled up the Pacific Coast and around the corner to Chacala. It was about an eight hour trip.

We arrived mid afternoon to a bustling shore-side scene. Later some cruisers arrived and anchored in the spacious bay. Then the hot-dog rides came out! These are inflatable “hot dogs” that are pulled behind a panga. It looks like they can hold 10 or more kids and adults, each straddles the hot dog and holds onto a handhold. I’m not sure this would get OSHA approval in the USA but the kids were lovin’ it!

All three of us are about to go swimming to try out Jon’s new swim ladder! Hope your Sunday is fun, too!
What’s Next?
The night was quiet, if a little lumpy and we left early Monday morning for Isla Isabela.
